We had a wonderful weekend! Daddy and I put all of your furniture together on Friday night.
We were up until 10pm putting everything together and then I spend another hour in your room putting the things away that I had gotten from the girls at work already. So I was all ready for my shower the following day!
I was so excited about my shower I could hardly sleep! It ended up being a rainy day and it ruined gramma's plans of having it outside on the patio, but she set it up in the garage instead. Lots of people were able to make it and I had a lot of fun! You really are soooo loved already! You got tons of really neat gifts! And NO duplicates! I was really surprised!
And I had a couple of helpers when it came to opening presents!
Diane is even making you a quilt. It is really pretty! It's still in the making so I only got to see a preview so far, but I love it!
It was requested that everyone bring a package of diapers if they could and boy did they! We have so many diapers now! But I hear you can never have too many! ;-)
One of my friends, Brianna, made a diaper cake and it was full of diapers along with onesies, socks, pacifiers, forks, spoons, washcloths, mittons, socks and topped with a ducky! It was sooo nice!
After presents it was time for cake! It turned out beautiful and it was delicious!
Of course on this special day I had to get some pictures with the family!

So after it was all over with I was pooped. I just wanted to get home to go through everything again and really get a chance to look at with without being rushed on to the next thing. I had planned to bring Daddy's truck, but since it was raining we decided I had more room in my car with the trunk and backseat. So I brought my car and after seeing all of my gifts, there was no way I was going to get it all in there. So I borrowed Gramma's SUV and packed everything in!
Once I was home I brought everything into your room and showed it to Daddy.
I kind of started sorting through stuff, but really wanted to just get to bed. So I put your bouncy seat together (which you're going to love by the way) and then I went to bed.
Sunday morning I got up and was so excited to get your room organized, but we were missing something. We had the crib and the bedding, but no mattress! Off to Wal*Mart we went! We used a gift card that we had gotten and put it towards your mattress. I also wanted some canvass baskets for your changing table. So I bought those too so I could get organizing!
After a couple hours spent in there your room looks wonderful!
Big changes happened with your closest!
So now all we're lacking are your shelves and name letters. But we can't do either of those until you get here because they will get painted either purple or blue! We also are borrowing Aunt Erin's glider rocker too. We'll get that this week.
But that was our fabulous weekend!
