Soccer

Dear Teagan:
Last month we signed you up for soccer through the school and you were so excited about it that you called everyone to tell them and to see if they would come watch you.
Friday night I brought you home soccer cleats, socks and shin guards. You were still stoked.
Then everything changed yesterday when I got a call from your coach informing us that you are on the "purple team." Suddenly you started "hating" soccer and the color purple. You were mad because you wanted to be on the red team. I think you may have been having anxiety about it because after we put you in bed last night you came out twice telling us that you weren't playing soccer because you don't like it. You woke up singing the same tune this morning. When we got to Jenn's, both Brylee and Haylee came running up to you and were so excited about playing soccer tonight. You said you weren't going. Finally this afternoon you got excited about it again. Jenn text me telling me that you said you were going to play. Phew! I was so not ready for the meltdown that soccer was going to bring tonight.
Now lets just hope that it doesn't get cancelled! Daddy says that a storm was rolling into Gouverneur a bit ago. That'll stink if the first day gets rained out!

I had Friday off and you had been asking for Willow to come over, so we had her over all day. That was a busy, but fun filled day!

Oh, a couple weeks ago we went on a mission to find worms around our house and Poppy's. You had him turning over all sorts of big stuff and were pulling worms out left and right. We then went fishing in the pond and caught all sorts of fish! You were so excited and even reeled in a fish all by yourself! It was great. I got it on video. You were so proud of yourself for being able to catch the fish and reel it in.

Oh geez, it's time to get going to soccer!
