Dear Sprout:
Here we are at 33 weeks and you're really starting to crowd my space. Your big butt is way in my ribs and your head isn't down as far as it should be. I can tell you can't get comfy cozy in there because of the way you move and try to stretch all the time.
I started out thinking you were going to be smaller than your brother (7lbs, 13 ounces)just because my belly was so small and I didn't feel you move a whole lot. Well boy do I think I was wrong. I think you are going to be bigger than Teagan was. And now you move so much.
I've been having more and more Braxton Hicks contractions and some of them hurt! Not as in a contraction pain hurt, but in a they're squishing you into body parts that are already being squished too much kind of way.
I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!!!
I'm so excited! There's still so much to do to prepare though. I need to get the infant carseat down and washed, as well as the pack and play and the swing. I still need to buy all new bottle nipples and get the bottles and breast pump parts sterilized and I need to buy a new crib mattress and mattress pad for your crib.
Which the crib part doesn't really have to be done right away as you will be in our room for at least the first few weeks.
I'd really like to buy you a new crib set that isn't gender neutral, so there would be no point and getting your nursery all ready just to change it when you arrive.
I'm thinking a nautical theme if you are a boy and a zebra or owl theme if you are a girl. I really just want the crib skirt, diaper stacker and window valance. I don't need the crib quilt and bumper, as we never used those with Teagan.
I also want to get a lounger pillow for you. We used the Boppy pillow with Teagan all the time to lay him in, but he would end up slouching down in it, so I found this new pillow that's basically like a Boppy to lay you in so Teagan can read to you and talk to you on the floor and I'd feel better about it that way.
I'm finding it much harder this time, especially the closer we get to meeting you, to not think about what you are. I love the fact that you're a surprise and I will truely be surprised no matter what you are because I haven't a clue at all what I think! But it's so hard now with all the great sales and clearance items on summer clothes that if I knew I would be able to shop for next summer. Whereas with Teagan I never thought about that stuff and before I knew it the seasons were changing and he was outgrowing all his clothes left and right and I would have to spend a whole bunch of money at once on new clothes for him! So it would be easier to know. But Oh well, there will still be summer clearance leftover when you get here.
It's time for me to get going home to relieve your Aunt Erin from watching Teagan the menice. Your daddy is off fourwheeling with his friends and she's at our house with Teagan.
I love you to the moon and back baby and we can't wait to meet you!
Love,
Mommy

The Life of a 2 Year Old
Dear Teagan:
You are a big 2 year old now!! Your birthday party was fun. You were sick with a stupid virus the Friday before your birthday (Sunday)so by Sunday you still weren't 100% yourself, but you were better. We had an Elmo themed party. Your friends from daycare couldn't make it but Wyette & Willow came and so did Izzy. Kaylee & Paige were also sick, so they couldn't make it either. You got a ton of trucks and cars and all sorts of other fun things! You thought it was your birthday the entire week after too. You had your party on Sunday, then Monday you got presents from Haylee & Hannah at Jenn's, then Tuesday you got a present from Brylee at Jenn's then Wednesday more presents came from Owen in the mail. Then Thursday I took some of your birthday money and bought you the train track for your new train. I think that was it after that. You asked for a present every day though. It was funny.
Gymnastics is over now. You still ask to go, especially now that Brylee goes and talks about it.
You're starting to get very independent. You have to have and do things a certain way. It's fun, except when we're in a hurry. Your sentences are getting longer now and some of the stuff that comes out of your mouth is just hysterical!
You love your new big boy bed. It really helped that everyone that came to your party made such a big deal over it that now you really love it. At first I was having to lay in it with you until you fell asleep and boy was that uncomfortable! We tried sleeping in undies a few nights in a row, but everytime you peed the bed! So I went back to putting diapers on you and you don't pee in those in your bed! i
It's so weird!!
You now are allowed to sit forward facing in the car. Oh boy do you love that! You have an Elmo movie that teaches you shapes so you're really good with those. Now when we see a stop sign you yell out "Red ocgon!" which means octagon. Or a yield sign you say "yellow triangle!" you also know what each color of the lights mean so you're sure to tell me when to stop, go or slow down.
You are still a mamas boy through and through and I love every minute of it. You're so sweet and cuddly to me.
Just yesterday we were laying down to nap together and I was falling asleep before you and you kept leaning over and giving me kisses. It was the sweetest thing!
I love you to the moon and back baby.
Love,
Mommy
