Funny Boy

Dear Teagan:
We started Mom & Tot gymnastics last week! You seem to really enjoy it. Layken, Erica & Mike go, along with Callie & Isla and Peyton and her mom...which I forget her name, but we know them from parties at Lindsey Buckley's house.
You aren't a fan of the bars at all. I don't blame you, I never was when I did gymnastics either. You just don't want to hang with your feet dangling. You're okay on the smaller ones that you can touch the floor and lift your feet up though. You love thr touble track. It's a big long trampoline that you can run and jump down and at the end is a big huge mat you can jump on and a foam block pit to play in.
You have a hard time staying focused on what they're telling you to do though. You're too busy checking out what everyone else is doing and you just wanted to run around and play on all the mats. So good thing it's only a 1/2 hour class! Especially since it's sooooo hot. I'm not even the one running around and I am sweating by the time we get done.

Sunday was Daddy's birthday. You were so funny. It started out Friday night when we were rushing home to wrap a present and get to a baby shower. You were all upset that it wasn't a present for you. Then Saturday morning we were getting another baby shower gift ready to give to Nana & Aunt Kim to take to a baby shower and you were getting mad that none of the stuff was for you!
We went to Wellesley for the day on Saturday where everyone was camping and Grandma & Grandpa had a gift for Daddy's birthday. You wanted to help him open it so you sat on his lap. Then when he started opening them you started singing "App birdday to - Daddy!" It was soooo cute! Then all day Sunday when it was Daddy's birthday you sang to him. You are the cutest sounding little singer.
Come Monday morning I was laying in bed and you were awake in your crib and I heard you singing "App Birdday to - Daddy!" I went in and got you and had to tell you it wasn't daddy's birthday anymore. Your response was "Teagan's birdday?" So then we had to talk about whose birthday was next (Grandma, Mommy THEN Teagan). It was funny.

Your bedding set came in. It's really nice! I'm happy with it. Now on to the cleaning out that bedroom so we can get going on it. This morning you told me you wanted to go to Grandma's so I think on Saturday she will come get you and Daddy and I will get started on doing the cleaning out of your room. Maybe we'll even get stuff painted. Then when we go pick you up, we can load up the furniture and drop that off at Aunt Erin's. My goal for this weekend is to clean the room out and get the walls painted. Then maybe next weekend or so Daddy can do the floor. Then the weekend before your birthday we'll get your bed all put together and everything in there the way it needs to be for your birthday. I really hope you like it!

Well, I need to get to work now.
I love you to the moon and back baby!

Love,
Mommy

All Seems Well!

Dear Sprout:
Well I had my 22 week appointment and we went over my last ultrasound results. Everything they got to look at looked just fine. Your heartrate was 156 at this appointment. They scheduled me for another ultrasound for next week. When they called to make the appointment with the hospital they were asked why I needed it and what parts needed to be looked at so I heard the lady tell them that it was because you were shy and we needed pictures of your left ventricle, upper lip, stomach, bladder, spine, kidneys and umbilical insertion. They did say that you had a 3 vessel umbilical cord though, which is wonderful and normal. So we go back next Thursday and Daddy just told me today that he won't be able to make it because he'll be working up in Potsdam. That makes me sad, but at least we know all is well with you so the chances of getting bad news a really slim. I'll see if one of your aunts or grandma can go with me instead!
Right about at 21 weeks I started feeling you move. I love it. Now at 23 weeks I feel it more and more. You're super active at night. Whenever I wake up to pee and get back in bed you're a wiggle worm! I've tried to get daddy to feel, but he can't be patient enough to wait for it and he's not sure if he felt something or if it was just my belly rising with my breathing.
I compared how much weight I've gained with you and your brother. With Teagan at 22 weeks I had already gained 15 pounds and with you I've only gained 7!! Woohoo. And I eat all the time too, so it's not like I'm trying to not gain weight. I think it's a combination of being so sick in the begining with you that I lost weight and being so active with your brother. Also when I was in my first trimester with Teagan it was in the winter so I wasn't getting any exercise. But now I'm busy chasing around after him and lifting him all the time it's probably impossible to gain much weight. Not to mention I probably eat a lot healthier. I crave fruits usually and summer is full of fresh veggies and fruits. Also, I try to model good eating habits for Teag too.
This weekend we're going to try to get Teagan's room started on. I ordered his bedding set yesterday, so that should be here tomorrow. And little by little I'll order the rest of his bedroom stuff so we can get him into his new big boy room and I can start getting things ready for you.
I had some manufacterers coupons plus Target coupons for diapers, so I bought 2 packs for you. They were on sale too, so I got an awesome deal! I'm starting to stock up on supplies as I get coupons. I also decided I'm going to register at like Target, Burlington Baby Depot, Walmart & KMart even though I'm not having a baby shower and I don't need much. But whenever you register at these places, they give you coupons and free samples. And a % off coupon for anything left on your registry a month or so before your due date. So if I save the $ off coupons and wait for the % off coupons I could score big on diapers, wipes, lotions, breastfeeding supplies, etc. I'm trying to become a couponer, but not an extreme one like you'd see on TV. I just want to get better at using store coupons and manufacturers coupons.

Okay, I've got to get back to work now.
I love you to the moon and back baby!!!
Love,
Mommy

P.S. Sunday is daddy's birthday, give him a good kick to feel!! :-)

Camping Was Fun!

Dear Teagan:
Well so much has happened in the past month. Our trip to North Carolina was so much fun! We had a rough start though- Our plane was delayed and we were supposed to be there by 2:30 and we didn't get there until 6pm! So that was annoying. But we made it safe and sound despite the fact that you kept saying we were going to fall.
We went shopping and to a park. I bought myself a Coach diaper bag for when the baby comes, so that was very exciting.
I think you started to just get homesick and tired out. You weren't very nice to Owen. You got mad and threw a toy at his head. I was very upset with you for that. Your routine was completely out of whack. You were sleeping with me and not going to bed until I was going to bed, you were waking up earlier than normal and not napping. So you were defintely ready to go home. You really missed your daddy.

Then this past weekend we went camping for 4th of July. Our site was right across the road from grandma and grandpa's and we spent most of our time over there. You had a blast!! You were so excited to go, you asked me every day last week if we were going camping with grandma yet. You loved being in the tent and you were such a good boy. The first night we didn't get you in bed until probably after 11pm which is wayyy late for you. And then we were up at 7am. You slept on the air mattress right in between daddy and I. And you actually slept pretty good. Usually if you sleep in bed with us you kick and roll over and cry randomly in your sleep. But none of that happened while we were camping...I think you were just too tired.
On Saturday we got up and went out on the boat. It was super choppy out and I don't think it was a very idea that I went. I had to hold my belly with 2 hands so it wasn't jiggling all over. But you loved it. You sat on grandpa's lap and "drove."
Then you played on your bike in the road. You thought that that was the coolest thing ever that you could ride in the middle of the road and it was okay. We borrowed the little tricycle bike from Nana and brought that with us. You had so much fun playing with the other kids that were camping. Finally we got you to take a nap. It was like 150 degrees in our tent and I thought you were going to die in there though. We had the rain fly practically off and the door wide open so you could get a breeze. While you slept we filled a ton of water balloons up. We filled your wagon plus a cooler full of them. And then we filled up this other cooler type thing and Janelle (Owen & Ava's mom) filled up more in that cooler thing. Once you woke up we had a water balloon fight. The older kids (Owen, Ava, Julian & Nyla) had one bin and the younger kids (You, Riley & Reagan) had the other bin. You guys had a blast.
You loved going down to the water and throwing rocks in for the dogs to go after. You also loved that you could just go over to the swings/sandbox area and play by yourself or with the other kids without mommy or daddy going with you. We could see you right from our campsite. I think you felt like such a big kid. Everyone keeps saying that they think you'd rather have an older brother or sister rather than a baby. I think so too. You just love being able to play with the older kids!
Then once it got dark out grandpa had brought glowsticks from work and all of you kids got to have one. You all ran around with your glowsticks waving them around. You didn't think that they were all that cool though. Later we sat by the fire and had s'mores. It didn't take long for you to fall asleep once daddy went and got "mop" for you to snuggle with.
Sunday morning we got up and hung out for a while. You wanted to ride down the road so we went down and visited Diane & Pat since they were awake. Diane had bought you a fishing pole and gave that to you. It's a Cars fishing pole and has a tire on the end instead of a hook so you can practice until you get the hang of it.
After breakfast we went out on the boat and you were starting to get cranky and you were mad at your life jacket so you took your sunglasses off and threw them into the lake. So no more sunglasses for you. They were your favorite pair too! So I'm sad about that! But on the way back in you were sitting on daddy's lap "driving" the boat and you fell asleep in his arms. So once we got off the boat I laid you down and changed your clothes while you were still sleeping and we headed home.
You were so glad to be home after you woke up from your nap. I thought that you'd be upset about waking up at home to find that you weren't camping anymore, but you seemed quite happy to be there. You were excited to play with all of your toys again and you had no qualms with going to bed either.

I can't wait to take you camping again. You're just so good and you love it so much. The next camping trip that grandpa & grandma have planned is to Welesley in a few weeks, but there won't be other little kids there. Aunt Erin needs to get on the baby making train. You need some more cousins to play with!!

Alright, I better get back to work.
I love you to the moon and back baby.
Love,
Mommy
