Stressing Me Out

Dear Sprout:
You're stressing me out!
We saw you at the ultrasound, but barely. You were very uncooperative for us. You had your back to us with your head between your knees and your arms up over your head. So we'll have to probably go back to get more pictures of you since you wouldn't move for anything!!
The ultrasound tech had me empty my bladder, lay on my side, lay back on my back, she pushed the wand into my belly and try jiggling it around, but nothing would make you move. You were just nice and comfy cozy in there and that was that! Your heartrate was 147 again and you were doing practice breathing movements. They did measure your heart which has 4 chambers and your brain has 2 lobes. But thats about all they could get. We did get a face shot, but it looks really creepy since your arm and hand is over you.
I found out that my placenta in the front again, so that's why I'm not feeling much movement. I feel things like tapping down real low from time to time and just in the past day I've felt what I assume is you rolling over. So that makes me feel better. I was a bit concerned that you weren't moving in the ultrasound and then I never was feeling you. But I keep telling myself if the placenta is blocking your movements from me feeling them and maybe you were just super tired when we went to see you.
Then from the ultrasound lady pushing down on your head with the wand, I've felt like a weird pain there ever since. It's also been accompanied by some pressure way down low. So I got thinking maybe it was a UTI or something and maybe I should be seen for it. So I called a nurse today and she said it all sounded normal and it could just have to do with the way that you're positioned in there as well as normal uterine stretching. She told me to really aim for drinking a gallon of water a day and to just try to rest more. (Okay lady, you try to rest with a rambunctious toddler in the house...)
I don't remember it being like this last time around, but then again, every pregnancy is different. I just want to see you again and to be assured that you are developing correctly from head to toe!

See You This Afternoon!!

Dear Sprout:
Today I am 19 weeks pregnant! Today is also the day we get to see you at the anatomy scan! We have the opportunity to find out if you are a boy or a girl, but we won't!
I'm really nervous for it. Once it's over and done with I can relax for the next 20 weeks!
I declined all genetic screening, so if there are an abnormalities we would find out today. So that's why I'm nervous. But I have high hopes that all is well!!
I haven't felt you move much. The other day I did feel you twice and that was the first time I felt you and really knew it was you. But I have so much gas lately I can never tell if it's gas or you wiggling around in there! I'm ready for the strong kicks that daddy and your brother can feel!
Time to get ready to go see you.

Vacation!

Dear Teagan:

We leave in 2 days for vacation! We've been talking about this for a few weeks now- about going to see Dani and Owen. Everytime we talk about riding in the airplane you say "Airplane, fall!" So I'm not going to lie, it's totally creeping me out. I have no idea where you came up with such a thing! I'm really nervous about 1- Flying in general. 2- I haven't flown in year so I'm nervous about all those new rules with the TSA and if I'm going to do something incorrectly and 3- I'm totally scared about having a layover in LaGuardia. It's such a big airport and it's right in the city and it'll just be you and I. It just makes me really nervous. But we're going to have so much fun! Poor daddy isn't going to know what to do with himself at home!

I read that I need your birth certificate to travel and I also saw that I might need a letter of consent from daddy to take you out of the state. Then that got me thinking, when you were born, we weren't married, so your birth certificate states that your mom's name is Megan O'Connell and my license says that I am Megan Cole. So now I'm wondering...will I need our marriage license as well? I think I need to just call the airport and get this all straightened around before we run into trouble and end up missing our flight.

We're pretty much all packed up, minus the few things we still need tonight and tomorrow night. Grandpa is going to drive us down because he has an appointment in Syracuse Thursday morning anyway, so that worked out perfect! Then I think Aunt Lindsey will be picking us up on Monday morning, but we still have to double check.

You helped pick out Owen's birthday present, so we got that all ordered and shipped down there to them so we can wrap it when we get there and give it to him. Hopefully he likes it as much as you did by the pictures.

Well, time for me to get going to pick you up now.
