Some Random Thoughts to You

Dear Bean-


There is just so much happening these days. Last week I was in a car accident which was pretty scary. If anything would have happened to you because of that accident I would have never been able to forgive myself. Luckily though, you're okay in there and you have been letting me know with all of your kicks, somersaults and squirming around.


With every movement you make inside of me it makes me feel as if you are trying to tell me something. I'm not exactly sure yet what it is. Do you do it so mommy doesn't worry so much? Or because you're hungry for something delicious? Am I making you uncomfortable?


I think about you all day every day. What will you look like? Blonde hair? Brown hair? Red hair? Bald? I suspect bald. Daddy and I both were. Will you have blue eyes like daddy? Brown eyes like me? Or will you get Aunt Erin's green eyes? Are you and boy or a girl? Will you be quiet and shy like daddy or will you be loud and outgoing like me? I think you'll be a pretty good mixture. I'm sure you'll be chatty like me. How can you not, you listen to me talk and talk allll day in there. You probably love it when I go to sleep and you don't have to hear it anymore. I'm sorry Bean, mommy just always has tons to say!!

Daddy told me yesterday that he knows he will cry when you enter this world. Of course they will be happy tears. Although he doesn't talk about you as much as I do, I know he's equally excited. I think because of the simple fact that you are in my tummy and not his, it's not as real to him. But I know he will be the best daddy. You will just love him. He talks about stuff he will teach you and fun things you two will do together. He wants to buy you some golf clubs so you can go golfing with him. I hope you like golfing more than I do! Nana & Papa have a pond full of fish and daddy loves to fish in it. He says he will teach you to catch fish just like him- Don't worry though, I will really be the one to teach you to get the big ones!!

I hope you like us. I don't see why you wouldn't. We are fun and very lovable. I believe you will like your new home too. Mommy has decorated the inside nice and homey like and daddy has done some nice things outside like build a little front porch and a BIG back deck. Once you come home while I am off work I plan to sit on the back deck and read stories to you. Anytime I sit out there I think about you and all the fun we will have together.

I still can't believe it! You are going to enter this world and be mine and daddy's little creation. We will get you home and probably just stare at you and think "I can't believe you're all mine."

Well Bean, Mommy should do something productive now, seeing how I am at work...
