Time Keeps On Slipping...

Dear Vivian,
Man it's crazy how time flies! You're already 6 weeks old!
At your 4 week check up you were 9 lbs, 1 ounce- same as Teagan was at his 4 week appointment!! You were also 21 & 3/4 inches long!
You're really chunking up these days! Those thighs are getting quite rolly!!
I asked the dr about your spitting up and she said she thinks its from not burping well, which you don't. You don't spit up as much with a bottle, and that's because daddy stops you every ounce to make you burp, whereas when I nurse you, I just wait until you let go to burp you. So now that I'm trying to make you burp more you seem to be less pukey! Thank goodness because you have so many cute clothes we were covering up with bibs!
But the last week nada yesterday morning you puked bright yellow. It really made me nervous. And two days in a row at about the same time you projectile vomited a lot on me. I think that was from eggs maybe? That's the only thing I ate both days in a row.
I was reading my blog from the early days with Teagan and it seems as though he had issues when I ate eggs as well. Reading about him changes things a bit. I thought you were more difficult with the crying and spitting up and all that, big I guess we went through the same stuff with him.

I go back to work a week from tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting out of the house and feeling productive again, but things are bound to get crazy at home. Oh well, tis life. I'm hoping you get held enough at daycare. I'm worried for you because you're not on a very good eating schedule at home. You don't eat every 3 hours on the dot like your brother did. You just kind of graze all day. So I'm wondering how she's going to know when you're hungry and when you're just fussing.

You've started smiling for us now. You're particularly fond of your daddy. Everyday when he gets home you're full of big smiles for him. We have somewhat of a nightly routine going on. I lay with Teagan either in my bed or on the couch and you lay with daddy. Usually I got to bed and fall asleep and he gets your pjs on you and will either give you a bottle if its time or just put you to bed.

We still haven't even started on your room. I ordered the changing table cover and decided I liked it so I ordered the sheet & diaper stacker to match. We still need to get a crib mattress though! It won't fit in my car though so I need daddy to get it with his truck! Once we have all the stuff then I'll pick a paint color and we'll really make you a nice room!

You had a great first Christmas! You got tons of new clothes and a few new little toys and dolls. Santa brought you a fancy new play at for you to lay on and play. It has a light up musical mobile and lots of various toys dangling. Teagan likes to lay on it with you and show you all the toys.

Well I'm going to get a quick shower before you are hungry again.
