Dear Sprout:
I'm sooooo ready to meet you!!!
And your big brother is too. I think it's finally sinking in that you are real and you're going to come live with us. He talks about things he will and will not share with you. Mostly it's food he says he won't share, which is a good thing, I'd hate to be worried about him popping a goldfish or fruit snack in your mouth while I'm not looking.
Last weekend I went up in the attic and got down the bin of newborn to 3 month clothes, the baby bath and the infant carseat. Daddy didn't think it was necessary to get down the swing, bouncer or pack and play yet. So I went through the clothes to see what I could get washed that was either neutral colored or plain white onesies and socks or whatever. Apparently after 2 years in storage, stains that I didn't know existed come to surface. So there are some nice outfits that Teagan only wore a handful of times that are ruined. It made me mad.
Then this past weekend I took the carseat apart and got that all washed up, which again, there was some weird drool/spitup/whatever stain down the middle of it that I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed with Oxyclean that just wouldn't come out. Oh well, it's going to expire in two years anyway so you'll be the last one to use it. And I soaked the baby bath tub in Clorox for the day and then scrubbed that all up. It looks brand new!!
I opened a package of newborn diapers and oh my goodness they are soooo little!!
I can't even believe your butt is going to fit into them!! I compared them to Teagan's and it would take 3 of your newborn diapers to be the size of his!
I also got the whole changing table all cleaned up. It was a bit dusty and the bins were pretty disorganized, so I got those somewhat organized now. I had bought a few lotions and soaps when they were on sale and I had some different butt creams left over from Teagan that were still good. I'm still in need of more lotions and I really want an Exergen Temporal Themometer.
I feel like I'm not going to have enough time to do things! I pretty much don't get anything done on week nights aside from making/eating/cleaning up dinner and then getting Teagan ready for bed and my stuff ready for the following day. And then this weekend Saturday is completely filled up, so that leaves Sunday only to do stuff. Then the next weekend, Friday night & Saturday afternoon is booked up, so again, that leaves me with Sunday only. Then finally the weekend of November 3-4 we have completely free (so far) and then following weekend, which is the last weekend before you're due, I have a party Friday night and I feel like something else was going on as well that weekend, but I can't think. But regardless, that leaves me about 4-6 days to get everything done.
Which at this point isn't even really a lot. Just set up the pack and play to make sure we have all the parts we need and same with the swing. And I need to clean them both of course. Oh and I need to sterilize all my pump parts and bottles and fun stuff like that.
Okay, now time to get going home. Finally. It's been such a long day!
Keep on cooking in there. And drop down a bit would ya? You've been giving me heartburn all day today!!!
I love you to the moon and back babykins!
Love,
Mommy
